Gagnon Inc.’s foundation was laid in the early 1890’s by Mark Gagnon, a Minnesota bricklayer. His sons, Flavian and Leonard, followed in their father’s tradition, and in 1949, Gagnon Inc. was formed. What began as a small company serving the Minneapolis area has grown into a company that each year provides refractory and insulation solutions to clients across the country and internationally.
Over the years we’ve changed to keep up with our customers’ needs. In the 1980’s, Gagnon added an industrial insulation group to compliment the industries it was serving. We also formed a strategic partnership with BSP Thermal Systems, an engineering firm specializing in the design and installation of multiple hearth furnaces for various industrial and municipal markets. In the 1990’s, we added commercial insulation to our existing service line to better serve our non-industrial clients. Since 2000, we expanded our services to include scaffolding, industrial cleaning, and turnkey project and turnaround management so that our clients’ needs can be met comprehensively with one company.
Four generations later Gagnon is still a family-owned business and remains a trusted refractory and insulation resource for companies across industry.
